I will add to this page weekly. Please feel free to blog recipes, health issues & facts our way so we can enlighten each other.
I totally believe in the RAINBOW a day phrase. Foods of these wonderful colours and flavours. buy organic where you can, wash ALL produce and really get into the habit of adding colours in every day meals.
Prepare the easiest simple lunches EVER. You just need to be organised. DONT give in to the sandwich/coffee lady whose comes to the office or work. make stunning salads for dinner- keep a box handy and fill that up too for lunch. Add can tuna, rice cakes, make yummy dressings, add boiled eggs or chickpeas or if work has a toasty maker chuck a low fat cheese sandwich in & have some home made soup. Just DONT give in to the T/A options that 9x out of 10 have hidden fats & sugars. Save that up for a girls night out or a hot date.
MORE good foods we eat, and more often. The better our metabolism is & our digestive system. More calories will be burned without you even lifting a dumb bell. Fill your fridge & pantry with goodness of nature. Keep away from the middle isles in the super market unless you have a strict list or someone with you that you want to spurge in front of. outer isles & counters are full of fresh produce. Enjoy them.
Shapley bodies & six pack tummies are the result of dedication in the kitchen. Believe me. Exercise is fabulous we always need that. Food we need more. Light your power house up with quality proteins, green veggies, multi grains & fruits. Be consistent and with your regular gym or walk/runs whatever your doing for fitness, changes will be seen. BUT YOU HAVE TO BE GOOD.
No sneaking in the biscuits or lollies. When you 'sneak' these snacks. Your body is craving sugar, or thirsty. Drink water, eat a slice of toast or a banana. A very talented lady once said to me,
"eat those snacks, that secret chocolate that know one knows about, the big mac in the car at afternoon break" BUT imagine this... "IF PEOPLE COULD SEE YOU. Would you eat it then?"
My answer & most around me was no. You wouldn't eat most of what you do alone in front of someone. Tee up a partner in crime or exercise buddy and message what your craving, what you want to snack on and see if it gets you off the bad snack & onto an orange or out for a walk...
